A.K.A. Friendships
A poem written for a very special friend's birthday.

It’s hard to paint a picture
Of something so complex
That would stump a compu-wiz
Who’s part of Dell Techs

So I’ll stick with easy lingo
And do you a huge favor
I’ll describe in vivid color
The friendship that we savor

If friendships were chocolate
I’d call ours Oh Nuts
If friendships were organs
I’d call ours guts.

If friendships were creeks
I’d call ours a sea
If friendships were total
I’d call ours totally

If friendships were days
I’d call ours years
If friendships were sparks
I’d call ours flares

If friendships were stores
I’d call ours a mall
If friendships were rooms
I’d call ours a hall

If friendships were seconds
I’d call ours hours
If friendships were buds
I’d call ours flowers

If friendships were slices
I’d call ours a pie
If friendships were deals
I’d call ours Best Buy

If friendships were streets
I’d call ours a town
If friendships were clothes
I’d call ours a gown

If friendships were anything else
We’d surpass them all by far
Because that’s just the way
That you and I are!

Thanks for giving meaning
To each day of my existence
And for filling my life with joy
During every single instance
